Celtics first-round draft pick Kelly Olynyk is already turning some heads with his summer league play, and it may have something to do with Boston fan favorite, Brian Scalabrine.
The former Celtic helped out the new Celtic by working out with Olynyk before the draft, preparing him for his transition to the NBA and teaching the 7-footer some of the major differences that exist between college basketball and professional ball.
In Olynyk?s first taste of summer league action, the former Gonzaga center is averaging 19.5 points and 8 rebounds in five games.
Check out the above video to hear how grateful Olynyk was for Scal?s help.
