Summer vacation is coming, which is great news! ?Unfortunately, that means that the Bite-Sized Faith blog will also take a break, but we?ll be back with more practical faith and parenting topics this Fall!
Summer is a time of unlimited opportunity, but it can also mean kids moping around the house with ?nothing to do.? ?To help jumpstart your summer, we?ve compiled a list of five ideas that should not only be quality family fun, but should make sure that summer is the perfect time for your child?s faith to continue to grow.
Family-Faith Summer Ideas
Complete a family road trip and pilgrimage
Take a family trip that will not only be fun, but will also have a spiritual purpose.? Use the car ride to listen to entertaining CDs on spiritual topics, such as Lighthouse Media CDs or the Chronicles of Narnia series on CD.? Here are some local and regional sites that would be fun places for your family to visit.
The Grotto of the Redemption, West Bend, Iowa ? Visit a nationally famous series of nine grottos, each portraying a scene in the life of Christ.
Trinity Heights Sioux City, Iowa ? Walk through beautiful grounds of various reminders of the Catholic faith, including a 33-foot high statue of Jesus!
The Cross in the Woods Shrine, Indian River, Michigan ? This is a longer trek, but you can check off your ?bucket list? that you have visited the world?s largest crucifix.
The Shrine of Our Lady of Good Help, Champion, Wisconsin ? Visit a Marian apparition site.
Do service as a family
Make an effort to include service in your summer schedule. ?Even a one-time trip can be life-changing to kids who may not regularly see families and persons in need. ?Help serve a meal to the homeless at?Connection Caf?,?or wake up early and help with the mobile Salvation Army breakfasts. Visit a nursing home and let your children learn the value of listening and respect for the elderly. ?Volunteer as a family with Habitat for Humanity and let teens sense the rewarding feeling from working with their hands for the good of others. ?On the drive home help the children reflect on how service is a great way to show the love of Jesus to those around us.
Spend family time outdoors
Time in nature is a great way to reconnect with both family and God. ?There is something about walking or biking together outside that allows conversation to flow easily and more deeply. ?Romans 1:20 says, ?Ever since the creation of the world, [God?s] invisible attributes of eternal power and divinity have been able to be understood and perceived in what He has made.? ?So go for a picnic in a state park, a hike by Saylorville Lake, or star-gazing in your backyard. ?Remind your children about Who made the beauty around them and that He made it for love of them.
Continue to go to Mass (and Reconciliation)
Summer vacation is not a vacation from Mass. When you travel, make sure that you find out ahead of time when and where Mass and reconciliation are offered. The website, MassTimes.org is a great resource. Celebrating Mass in places other than your home parish is a great way to help your children feel that they are part of a universal Church. While there may be slight differences? in music and style at other parishes, it?s a great reminder that Jesus is present everywhere.
Try family adoration
To create a perfect balance to the chaos of summer activities, enjoy Eucharistic Adoration as a family. ?Teaching kids that silence and time away from technology is a gift. ?We grow in silence, and it is much easier to hear God in silence than when we are constantly distracted by noise and activity. ?Fit it into your schedule by going to either St. Augustin or St. Pius X Parish which host perpetual adoration.
Celebrate all the summer Church holidays
To be Catholic should mean that life is a constant party! ?The Catholic Church always has something or someone to celebrate! ?Find creative ways this summer to celebrate Church feast days and take time as a family to find out the meaning of these special days.
One easy way to do this is use your daily food to lead to discussion of the feast days and make the day fun.? Visit Catholic Cuisine, a faith-filled foodie blog with recipes and ideas for celebrating these feast days. ?They even have recipes easily categorized by month, so you can go through the summer months and pick out one or two feast days a month to turn into an educational party!
?
Blessings on you and your families this summer! We hope that you are able to use some of the ideas above to have a fun and faithful summer!

Every year, Cisco issues its Visual Networking Index (VNI) to forecast the amount of data traffic that will be used worldwide. The latest VNI forecast shows a massive uptick in data usage, from the 369 Exabytes of IP traffic used worldwide in 2011 to approximately 1.3 zettabytes in 2016. According to Cisco, that rapid growth in data traffic will be driven by a proliferation of connected devices, ever-increasing broadband connectivity, and greater adoption of IP video worldwide. So what's driving that explosion in traffic? For one thing, an increase in the total number of devices that are connected to the Internet. With the proliferation of smart phones, tablets, connected TVs and other smart devices (think broadband-enabled washing machines, refrigerators and the like), folks are no longer just connecting to the Internet via PCs.

Mice and monkeys don't develop diseases in the same way that humans do. Nevertheless, after medical researchers have studied human cells in a Petri dish, they have little choice but to move on to study mice and primates.
University of Washington bioengineers have developed the first structure to grow small human blood vessels, creating a 3-D test bed that offers a better way to study disease, test drugs and perhaps someday grow human tissues for transplant.
The findings are published this week in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.
"In clinical research you just draw a blood sample," said first author Ying Zheng, a UW research assistant professor of bioengineering. "But with this, we can really dissect what happens at the interface between the blood and the tissue. We can start to look at how these diseases start to progress and develop efficient therapies."
Zheng first built the structure out of the body's most abundant protein, collagen, while working as a postdoctoral researcher at Cornell University. She created tiny channels and injected this honeycomb with human endothelial cells, which line human blood vessels.
During a period of two weeks, the endothelial cells grew throughout the structure and formed tubes through the mold's rectangular channels, just as they do in the human body.
When brain cells were injected into the surrounding gel, the cells released chemicals that prompted the engineered vessels to sprout new branches, extending the network. A similar system could supply blood to engineered tissue before transplant into the body.
After joining the UW last year, Zheng collaborated with the Puget Sound Blood Center to see how this research platform would work to transport real blood.
The engineered vessels could transport human blood smoothly, even around corners. And when treated with an inflammatory compound the vessels developed clots, similar to what real vessels do when they become inflamed.
The system also shows promise as a model for tumor progression. Cancer begins as a hard tumor but secretes chemicals that cause nearby vessels to bulge and then sprout. Eventually tumor cells use these blood vessels to penetrate the bloodstream and colonize new parts of the body.
When the researchers added to their system a signaling protein for vessel growth that's overabundant in cancer and other diseases, new blood vessels sprouted from the originals. These new vessels were leaky, just as they are in human cancers.
"With this system we can dissect out each component or we can put them together to look at a complex problem. That's a nice thing?we can isolate the biophysical, biochemical or cellular components. How do endothelial cells respond to blood flow or to different chemicals, how do the endothelial cells interact with their surroundings, and how do these interactions affect the vessels' barrier function? We have a lot of degrees of freedom," Zheng said.
This video shows blood pumping through an engineered microvessel stimulated with an agent that causes inflammation. Over time green clots form in the vessel, like they do in the human body.Credit: Y. Zheng, U. of Washington
The system could also be used to study malaria, which becomes fatal when diseased blood cells stick to the vessel walls and block small openings, cutting off blood supply to the brain, placenta or other vital organs.
"I think this is a tremendous system for studying how blood clots form on vessels walls, how the vessel responds to shear stress and other mechanical and chemical factors, and for studying the many diseases that affect small blood vessels," said co-author Dr. Jos? L?pez, a professor of biochemistry and hematology at UW Medicine and chief scientific officer at the Puget Sound Blood Center.
Future work will use the system to further explore blood vessel interactions that involve inflammation and clotting. Zheng is also pursuing tissue engineering as a member of the UW's Center for Cardiovascular Biology and the Institute for Stem Cell and Regenerative Medicine.

NEW YORK (AP) ? Poll after poll shows public support for same-sex marriage steadily increasing, to the point where it's now a majority viewpoint. Yet in all 32 states where gay marriage has been on the ballot, voters have rejected it.
It's possible the streak could end in November, when Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington state are likely to have closely contested gay marriage measures on their ballots.
For now, however, there remains a gap between the national polling results and the way states have voted. It's a paradox with multiple explanations, from political geography to the likelihood that some conflicted voters tell pollsters one thing and then vote differently.
"It's not that people are lying. It's an intensely emotional issue," said Amy Simon, a pollster based in Oakland, Calif. "People can report to you how they feel at the moment they're answering the polls, but they can change their mind."
California experienced that phenomenon in November 2008, when voters, by a 52-48 margin, approved a ban on same-sex marriage in the state constitution. A statewide Field Poll that September indicated Proposition 8 would lose decisively; an updated poll a week before the vote still showed it trailing by 5 percentage points.
California is an unusual case. It's one of a few reliably Democratic states that have had a statewide vote rebuffing same-sex marriage. The vast majority of the referendums have been in more conservative states, which have a greater predilection for using ballot measures to set social policy. The 32 states that have rejected gay marriage at the polls make up just over 60 percent of the U.S. population.
Voters in liberal states such as Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and New York, where gay marriage was legalized by judges or legislators, might vote to affirm those decisions but haven't had the opportunity.
Most of the states that voted against gay marriage did so between 2004 and 2008. Since then, only Maine in 2009 and North Carolina on May 8 have rebuffed same-sex marriage in referendums, while legislatures in Washington state, Maryland, New Jersey, Hawaii, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Illinois and Delaware have voted for same-sex marriage or civil unions.
In all, there are now six states with legal same-sex marriage and nine more granting gay and lesbian couples broad marriage-style rights via civil unions or domestic partnerships. Together, those 15 states account for about 35 percent of the U.S. population.
Over the past year, there's been a stream of major national polls indicating that a majority of people support same-sex marriage. According to a Washington Post-ABC News poll released Wednesday, 53 percent of those questioned say gay marriage should be legal, a new high for the poll, while 39 percent, a new low, say it should be illegal.
Political consultant Frank Schubert, a leading strategist for campaigns against same-sex marriage in California and elsewhere, said such polls are misleading and he asserted that same-sex marriage would be rejected if a national referendum were held now.
"The pollsters are asking if same-sex marriage should be legal or illegal, and that phrasing is problematic because it implies some government sanction against same-sex couples," Schubert said. "People want to be sympathetic to same-sex couples, so polls that use that language aren't particularly useful."
The more useful question, Schubert said, is whether marriage should be defined as the union of a man and a woman ? the gist of the constitutional amendments approved in 30 states.
"If you ask that question, you get strong majorities," Schubert said.
Mark DeCamillo, director of the Field Poll in California, agreed with Schubert that same-sex marriage probably would lose in a hypothetical national referendum now. One important factor, he said, is whether there would be more intensity among supporters or opponents.
In California, same-sex marriage has such overwhelming support today that Prop 8 almost certainly would be overturned if a new state referendum were held, DeCamillo said.
The latest Field Poll, in February, measured voter approval of gay marriage among registered California voters at 59 percent, which was the highest in 35 years of polling on the issue, while only 34 percent disapproved. In the first Field Poll on the topic, in 1977, 59 percent opposed gay marriage and 28 percent were in favor.
Nonetheless, the largest gay-rights group in the state, Equality California, remains cautious and isn't yet ready to begin a campaign to overturn Prop 8. A federal court has struck down the law, but that ruling has been appealed.
"We aren't confident that the level of support is stable enough to withstand the rigors of a referendum," said spokeswoman Rebekah Orr. "We know that people are conflicted. Their intellectual position can show up in a poll and their emotional position shows up in the voting booth."
California is among 30 states where voters have approved amendments limiting marriage to unions of one man and one woman. In Hawaii, voters passed an amendment in 1998 empowering the Legislature to ban gay marriage, which it proceeded to do. The ban remains in effect, though Hawaii lawmakers approved civil unions last year.
The other statewide vote was in Maine in 2009, when 53 percent of the voters overturned a law that would have legalized same-sex marriage.
The issue is back on Maine's ballot for Nov. 6, with voters getting another chance to approve same-sex marriage. Schubert, who is advising gay-marriage opponents in Maine, depicts it as the toughest contest for his side among the four statewide elections this fall.
In Minnesota, voters will be deciding whether to approve a gay-marriage ban similar to those in the other 30 states. In Maryland and Washington, assuming enough valid signatures are gathered by gay marriage opponents, there will be ballot measures seeking to overturn same-sex marriage laws passed by legislators this year.
However those four referendums turn out, there's widespread belief among gay rights activists and many pollsters that support for same-sex marriage will continue to grow nationwide.
"The numbers are inexorably moving in one direction," said DeCamillo. "Older folks, who are more in opposition, are dying out and younger folks are more inclined to support it. It's not rocket science."
He said support for gay marriage is surging in California among young Latinos and Asian-Americans. Nationally, according the recent Washington Post-ABC News poll, support has risen among blacks since President Barack Obama's endorsement of same-sex marriage on May 9.
Phyllis Watts, a consulting psychologist from Sacramento, Calif., has worked with several recent ballot-measure campaigns, including the failed effort to defeat Prop 8 in California and a successful drive last year to defeat an anti-abortion "personhood" measure in Mississippi.
She believes a statewide vote in favor of same-sex marriage is likely to come soon. But she suggests that any particular poll should be viewed with caution.
"People are in a fluid state around same-sex marriage. They really can feel one way one day and another way another day," she said. "I don't think the polls are able to track, with a level of nuance, what's actually occurring inside people's hearts."

Not only that, a member of Congress doesn't know what "literally" means.
It's not often Ed Schultz is taken aback when one of his loopy left-wing guests makes an outlandish claim, but that's what happened on his radio show Wednesday. (audio clip after page break)
Schultz was talking with Democratic Congresswoman Gwen Moore about GOP Rep. Mike Coffman criticizing President Obama as "not an American." Just as Schultz went over the top in describing Coffman's remarks (for which he's apologized) as "treasonous," Moore was determined not to be outdone in hyperbole. (audio) --
MOORE: Even with all of the obstruction, (Obama's) been transformational in just his first term. And as amazing and outstanding as he, even if you don't, if you didn't vote for him, you have to admit that he's smart, he's decent, and the only thing that they can do is the, are these ad hominem attacks. When you can't attack someone on their ability, the only thing left for you to do is to characterize them as monkeys, as something other than American, and it's sad to see racism in this country resurging, you know, as it was back in the days of the Ku Klux Klan.
First warning sign: Coffman smeared as little more than a KKKer who sees Obama swinging through trees --
SCHULTZ: It's amazing, you're in the same chamber with these people.
MOORE (sighs): Yeah, it is.
SCHULTZ: It is amazing. ... Let's talk about this video that has been produced by Republican women in the House trying to make the case that, you know, the Republican Party has done a lot for women. I documented it last night, put it on the show obviously that they voted against Lily Ledbetter, they voted against the equal pay. I mean, you can go right down the list. President Obama leads Mitt Romney, his opponent, by 15 percentage points in the women's category in the polling. Do you think it'll stay like this? Do you think the Republicans can make up ground on that the way the way they've been voting?
MOORE: Just let me say this, Ed. You know, I know most of the women that were in that video, I know them personally, I've been the co-chair of the Non-Partisan Women's Caucus and vice-chair for several years, taking a leadership role in this women's organization. There are several of those women who I'm sure were dragged kicking and screaming into that room to take that video.
"Dragged kicking and screaming into that room"? A tad much, but what we can expect on any given day. Alas, it got worse --
MOORE: The reality is is that Congress is a very male-gendered oriented institution. Out of the, you know, more than 10,000 people who've ever been elected to Congress, you know, only about 250 of them have ever been women. And certainly we're at a point and time when in 30 years the percentage of women who are in Congress or have been elected is lower than it's been in 30 years.
If only liberals had considered these numbers when they voted against Sharron Angle and Christine O'Donnell in 2010. Moore followed with her jaw-dropper --
MOORE: And so they are as battered, they are literally battered women in that caucus. Time and again, they've been forced to vote against the interests of women and the consequences for not voting with the Republican Party are great. I mean, you just, male or female, just look at Dick Lugar who cooperated with the president. Or I'm thinking of Jean Schmidt (R-Ohio), who was in that video. She had a primary and was beaten in a primary. She was one of the women that showed up at the non-partisan women's meetings on a regular basis. And so there are, there's a huge cost in being bipartisan, a tradition started by Newt Gingrich when he took over the House in 1994 and has continued forward, that you dare not vote against the Republican Party even if you're voting against your own initiatives and your own interests.
SCHULTZ: So there's a cost to being bipartisan. You think those women went kicking and screaming in front of that and you go so far as ...
MOORE: A couple of them, a couple of them ...
... the number of alleged unwilling participants dropping precipitously in a matter of minutes. Schultz, to his credit, pressed Moore on that alarming claim she just made about women getting beaten up in Congress --
SCHULTZ: And they're battered women in the caucus?!
MOORE (laughs): Yes, yes, they are. They're battered by, um, (gears furiously whirring), you know, not necessarily the mainstream Republicans (and not batteredper se ...), but this is not my grandmother, my grandmother died a Republican, she refused to go along with the realignment, my grandmother for whom I'm named. This is not the party of Lincoln. This is the tea party and to the extent that they have a large, uh, contingency (you mean "contingent," right ...?) in the House, I think that not only are these women battered, but the leadership is battered. When you see John Boehner crying (laughs, more goofily), believe you me, it's because he cannot control, uh, that wild contingency called the tea party.
If what Moore claims is true and she has been aware of this but did nothing to stop it, doesn't that make her ... an enabler?
Gwen Moore -- literally part of the contingency in Congress that turns its back on battered Republicans, regardless of gender.

Hahaha. Liberals are so insanely stupid that sitcoms are written about them. In The Big Bang Theory, Penny?s less than brilliant boyfriend tells Sheldon that he hadn?t been to a comic book store in literally a million years. Sheldon looks at him and says ?literally??.

Gwen Moore (unfortunately my Congressional Rep) is almost the stupidest person in Congress. I say almost because she is in contention with Sheila Jackson Lee and Maxine Waters - formidable contenders.
You can see now why Wisconsin needs someone like Scott Walker. Probably the state's last hope at this point.

auto insurance butler pa There are more cars and drivers hitting the road each year. With countless vehicles on the road, accidents will happen. The difference between a minor bother and major pain can be car insurance. How can you decide what insurance you require and how to buy it? Liability: It pays for damages due to bodily injury and property damage to others for which you are responsible. Bodily injury damages include medical expenses, lost wages and pain and suffering. Property damage includes damaged property and loss of use of property. If you are sued, it also pays your defense and court costs. State laws usually mandate minimum amounts, but higher amounts are available and usually recommended. Personal injury protection: This is required in some states and is optional in others. It pays you or your passengers for medical treatment resulting from a crash, regardless of who may have been at fault, and is often called no-fault coverage. It may also cover lost earnings, replacement of services and funeral expenses. The minimum amount of this insurance is usually set by the state. Medical payments: This type of coverage is available in non-no-fault states and will pay no matter who is responsible for the accident. It pays for an insured person?s reasonable and necessary medical or funeral expenses for bodily injury from a crash. Collision: Pays for damage to your car caused by a collision. Comprehensive: This applies if your car is stolen or damaged by causes other than collision, including fire, wind, hail, flood or vandalism. Uninsured motorist: Pays for damages when an insured person is injured in a crash caused by another person who does not have liability insurance or by a person who cannot be identified (usually a hit-and-run driver). Under-insured motorist: Pays for damages when an insured person is injured in a crash caused by another person who does not have enough liability insurance to cover the full amount of the damages. Other coverage, such as emergency road service and car rental, is also available. What you pay for auto insurance varies by company and will depend on several factors, including: * What coverage you select * The make and model of the car you drive * Your driving record * Your age, sex and marital status and * Where you live Many people think of auto insurance as a necessary evil, but it can save your financial well-being. Evaluate your needs, research your options and with the guidance of your insurance agent choose the option that best suits you. truck insurance quotes

DALLAS - On this final weekend before Tuesday's Texas primary, charges of racial politics broke out in the Republican race for U.S. Senate.
Candidate Ted Cruz, who's father emigrated from Cuba, angrily denied he supports amnesty for illegal immigrants, as a radio ad by Lieutenant Governor David Dewhurst claims.
But this is a risky exchange for both candidates.
Illegal immigration is a hot-button issue for Republican primary voters, so Cruz was quick to respond at a Fort Worth news conference.
"It is an absolute, bald-faced, naked lie that David Dewhurst is spreading," Cruz said.
He said he opposes amnesty.
Yet Dewhurst's campaign said Cruz sits on the boards of two Hispanic advocacy groups that promote economic opportunity and amnesty.
The radio ad claims, "Cruz helps run two national organizations that have been leading the push to give amnesty to illegal immigrants."
On WBAP Radio's Ben Ferguson Show Friday, Dewhurst stood by the ad.
"Every statement, we fact checked it over, and over, and over again," Dewhurst said. "Every statement is true."
This isn't the first questionable claim in this campaign.
Cruz repeatedly charges that Dewhurst favors a state income tax, which Dewhurst's record shows he doesn't.
Yet the Cruz campaign and some of his tea party supporters, like Garland Tea Party founder Katrina Pierson, say the amnesty charge is race baiting.
"As a minority, I think it's disgusting," she said.
If some voters agree, Dewhurst could be denied the margin he needs to reach a majority and avoid a runoff.
But there's also risk for Cruz.
When Victor Carrillo, then Chairman of the Texas Railroad Commission, lost in the 2010 primary, he blamed Republican voters bias against a Hispanic surname.
Cruz wasn't ready personally to say that Dewhurst is making ethnicity an issue.
"Ultimately that's a question the voters of Texas are going to have to decide," Cruz said.
But the Dewhurst campaign said Cruz is "attempting to play the victim again."
The question is whether GOP voters will view either as victims Tuesday.
?If you are the mayor of a city, I can pretty much guarantee that you are going to be closely scrutinized by your local newspaper," said Kelly McBride, an expert on media ethics at The Poynter Institute, in response to this morning's claims by Mayor Mike McGinn's wife that he's being bullied by the Seattle Times.
"And," McBride continued, "that?s how it should be. Nobody wins when the local press is a champion of the most powerful person in town.?
At my request, McBride read the article that led McGinn's wife, Peg Lynch, to cancel her subscription to Seattle Times last year.
?Sure, there?s a fair amount of snarkiness there," McBride said of the piece. "I don?t think that that?s unusual in politics. And even from the news side, I think that there is a trend in this country to make news writing more edgy, and I think that it?s an attempt at being edgy. Bullying? No.?
(It should be noted that David Boardman, executive editor of the Seattle Times, is on Poynter's board of advisers. McBride, who volunteered that information, said that Boardman has no authority over Poynter's budget or its hiring and firing decisions.)
I told McBride that the editorial page of the Seattle Times is definitely not fond of McGinn, and that McGinn's wife feels that dislike has seeped into the paper's news coverage, in more than just the article in question.
?Maybe there are lots and lots of little digs over time, but even then, that is really common," she responded. "Go and see what the The New York Times says about Bloomberg, or what?s going on locally in D.C.... Seattle?s a big city, and you would presume that the chief executive is a pretty worldly person?meaning, he?s been around the block a few times. You don?t get to that kind of position without being roughed up a bit.?
Lynch, McBride said, "may not understand the nature of the relationship between the watchdog and the guy with all the power.?
A question McBride cannot answer, but that's on my mind: Given McGinn's anemic poll numbers and the precarious state of newspapers all over the country, who actually is "the guy with all the power" in this situation?
To the polls!
Who is powerful enough to actually bully the other?

From Fashion to Finance: Insights on Venture Capital and Entrepreneurialism
Blog Post by Linda Descano CFA???-??05/24/2012 @ 10:00AM
As I shared in my post Inspiring Insights from Phabulous Philly, I go back to my hometown every month or so for coffee and conversation with a group of enterprising women from the area. Each meet-up often has a few new faces -- one of whom was Karen Griffith Gryga (@karengg), an 18-year veteran of the venture capital industry.? Today, Karen is Executive Director of the Mid-Atlantic Angel Group, Co-Founder and CEO of FashInvest, and a venture partner with Innovation Capital.
Karen is frequently sought out by both professional and academic communities for her insights on the subjects of venture capital and entrepreneurialism, so I asked her what advice she would share with entrepreneurs looking to raise capital through "VC" investors. Below is an edited recap of what Karen shared:
Warm introductions are invaluable. So, align yourself with service providers -- accountants, lawyers and others -- who work with emerging growth companies and understand what that means. Tap into their experience to help you formulate your pitch and plan -- and then leverage their network. Along these same lines, surround yourself with an advisory board of mentors who are familiar with the VC fundraising process.
Remember that all VC capital isn't created equal. Do your homework and identify those venture funds whose profile matches your business.
Look for networking events where your "target" VC investors are. Be strategic in where you network and, of course, how you network once you are at the event.
VC fundraising is a numbers game. It takes time and effort. You will probably be talking to a lot of people before you find a fit with a VC portfolio. Learn from every interaction and keep honing your strategy, pitch and plan. Stay resilient, focused and positive.
Investors pay attention to a business' risk profile: how is the business going to grow and move forward and what are the risks and headwinds they are facing, whether operational or demand-driven. So it is important that you have a good grasp on your business as it is today, how it will evolve and how you are going to pivot in response to changing circumstances.
At the end of the day, Karen stressed, it's a matter of strength: the strength of your business opportunity, the strength of your pitch and ability to influence, and your inner strength: confidence.
